Before even
getting into this saga, you'll need to know some stuff about the
Trunks special that preceded it. First off, Trunks came back from the
future and warned Goku about an alien heart disease that was going to
kill him in 3 years. In the time where Trunks came from Goku was dead
because the cure hadn't been discovered when Goku was alive and the
Androids were wreaking havoc. Trunks gave Goku in the normal time the
medicine to take. Trunks also told them about the androids coming in 3
years as well. So three years later the Android Saga starts. The Z
warriors look upon the city where the androids were going to arrive
and wait. Yajirobe comes and gives them some senzu beans. He takes off
in his hovercar like the pussy he is only to have it blown up by a
mysterious power. The mysterious power is actually the androids
kiddies. So the Z warriors split up to get Yajirobe and find the
androids. Unluckily, Yamcha (the weakest one) finds them first. He
thinks they're people and tells them to leave. Soon enough, he
realizes they're the androids. So, one thing leads to another and
Yamcha gets stabbed through the stomach by one of the androids. The Z
warriors sense it and fly over to him. They heal Yamcha with a senzu
bean and they start talking. We learn these are androids 20 and 19(see
bios for more information). 20 is the one who stabbed Yamcha. They
know their names already and the Z warriors are puzzled. Upon
questioning, 20 tells them that he has a hidden camera that looks like
an insect that has been following them around for quite some time.
Goku asks if it went to Namek with him and 20 explains that his
information was good enough to build his and 19's power level around.
Goku gets some hope by telling them that he can transform into a super
saiyan. The androids are puzzled by this and Goku gives them
a...demonstration. Goku fights 19 and holds him off for quite a bit.
Goku then fires a kamehameha at 19 and 19 only sticks out his palm
with a grin. One very good thing about 19 and 20 is that they have
little red glass balls in their palms which absorb energy, so the
blast only strengthens 19. Goku fights him some more, but he starts
feeling strange. He starts to lose badly and clutch his chest. The
heart disease was kicking in. Goku is saved by Vegeta who had been
training in TBC.
